For 2010, the North Central Teachers' Convention Association (NCTCA) is hosting its annual convention on Thursday, February 4 and Friday, February 5, at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Our theme for Convention 2010 is "Make a Difference".

Each year, our convention welcomes approximately 7000 K - 12 teachers and school administrators who enjoy browsing through the exhibit halls, meeting with displayers and purchasing new educational materials.

We are no longer accepting Alternate PD applications, for teachers who wish to be absent from the annual convention in order to attend alternative professional development activities scheduled at the same time. The deadline to submit Alternate PD requests was December 20, 2009.

The NCTCA is now accepting applications for Executive Assistant. Part-time and retired teachers are invited to apply. Membership in the Alberta Teachers’ Association is preferred but not strictly necessary. Job description and salary details available here.
